After starting their campaign on a loss, the reigning champions are now the hottest team in the league with five consecutive victories and 5-1 record as they share the top spot with Meralco Bolts, the only team that have beaten them in this tournament.

Unable to break away in the first half despite leading by as many as 13 points, the Gin Kings got their job done at the start of the second half, scoring 32 third-quarter points and holding down the Fuel Masters to just 18 to establish an 85-68 cushion that they never surrendered.
