The Hotshots regained control in the second quarter after leading by seven, 38-31. But as TNT continued to trim their deficit, Star lost steam in the third quarter.

After KaTropa tied the score at 71-all, TNT just pulled away and went on to take an 89-79 lead.

Jake Pascual and Rafi Reavis scored back-to-back baskets to pull Star within three, 90-87, early in the fourth quarter.

But TNT responded with a 17-7 spurt that gave them their biggest lead at 13, 107-94, with 5:05 left–enough to stave off Star.

Mychal Ammons also grabbed 17 rebounds together with 14 points, Mo Tautuaa added 16 points, and Troy Rosario and Michael Madanly chipped in 10 points apiece to fuel TNT’s balanced offensive attack.

Joel Wright led Star (2-8) with 27 points and 17 rebounds. He got help from PJ Simon, who scored 20 markers, and Marc Pingris, who had a double-double performance of 17 points and 11 boards.
