Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden State Warriors 2016 live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch NBA Finals Game 7 online June 19, 2016.
is is it. The last game of the 2015-16 NBA season will be played on Sunday. The winner of Game 7 of the NBA Finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors will be crowned NBA champion. The stakes couldn’t possibly be higher.
LeBron James willed the Cavaliers to this position. They were down 3-1 at one point and had been dominated. It looked like the series was going to end quickly and with a Warriors victory. Then in Game 5 in Oakland, James and Kyrie Irving exploded for 41 points each to keep Cleveland alive. In Game 6, LeBron dropped 41 again to go with eight rebounds, 11 assists, four steals and three blocks in 43 minutes on the court. Those two otherworldly performances are the main reason why the Cavaliers could win the championship.
While James deserves most of the credit for keeping Cleveland’s title hopes alive, the Warriors helped him out by being inconsistent and undisciplined. Draymond Green got himself suspended for Game 5 by hitting James in the groin and Stephen Curry struggled with foul trouble throughout Game 6. With Andrew Bogut out for the rest of the series with a knee sprain and Andre Iguodala limited due to back issues, everyone had to be at their best on defense and on the boards, and that hasn’t been the case. If that doesn’t change on Sunday, Golden State could find itself on the wrong end of a historic comeback.
It’s tempting to give the Cavaliers the edge in the deciding game, since they have performed better recently and don’t have serious health issues. James has controlled Green on the defensive end and has been impossible to stop on offense. Cleveland has owned the boards, as well. They have the edge in most important categories.
Their opponent is the Warriors, though. That’s the team that broke the record for most regular season wins and has the two-time MVP on its side. All they need is one transcendent Curry performance and they could forget about the past two games and start celebrating their second title in a row.
It’s one night. Cavaliers vs. Warriors, LeBron James vs. Stephen Curry. Legacies are at stake. There’s nothing like a Game 7.
