“Oracle Arena Oakland” Live Telecast Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golde State Warriors Game 2: TV Schedule, Live Stream Guide for NBA Finals.
Stephen Curry’s “Strength In Numbers” supporting cast made all the timely shots and all the difference for the defending champions in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
Draymond Green had 16 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists, Shaun Livingston scored a personal postseason best of 20 and Golden State’s bench came up big as the Warriors beat LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers 104-89 on Thursday night to move three wins away from a repeat title.
The problem is that, despite Steph Curry’s, 28, impressive performance throughout the playoffs, he’s not the only star player on the team. “You don’t win championships without the entire squad coming in and making an impact on games,“ Steph said, according to ESPN.
The Cavaliers, on the other hand, struggled greatly to contain Golden State inside, allowing 54 points in the paint, and turned the ball over 17 times. Their stars played well, as LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love combined for 66 points, but the team’s sloppy execution and the failure of the supporting cast to make a positive impact made it impossible for them to pull off the upset against such a talented opponent.
The Warriors surely hope to continue to avoid mistakes, like they did in Game 1, while getting Curry and Thompson back to their usual level. The Cavaliers, meanwhile, will try to figure out a way to get more role players involved while still getting their stars enough touches. Both situations present unique challenges that Kerr and Tyronn Lue will have to solve in order to get an edge in the series.
