TNT led 26-25 at the time of the incident but, without their import, went scoreless up until the halftime break.

The Bolts closed out the period with an 8-0 run to take a 33-26 lead at the half.

Dillinger had nine points and seven rebounds to lead Meralco while Hodge and Chris Newsome each had six.

Castro struggled heavily in the first half, scoring just three points on 1-for-9 shooting from the field.

But ‘The Blur’ started to come alive in the third, coming out with seven early points before being forced to take a seat on the bench with over seven minutes still left in the period due to foul trouble.

Meralco, thanks to the efforts of Hodge, remained on top, though, finishing the third leading, 61-55.

In the fourth, TNT continued to battle behind a gutsy effort from Castro, who scored 15 points in the fourth quarter.

But Dillinger knocked down a big three-pointer at the 2:14 marker and Onuaku, with no import counterpart on the other side, made some crucial putbacks late in the game to help preserve the win.

Alapag and Amer capped the win with some free throws in the final minute.
