The last Grand Slam of the year kicks-off in New York with the 2016 US Open starting on 29 August. Djokovic is the defending champion in the men’s singles, while Flavia Pennetta is the defending women’s champion. The Italian, however, retired following her triumph at Flushing Meadows last year and will not be there to defend her title.
