Katharina started in tennis at the age of 7 years old. She lives in Germany but plays for the Philippines; because she has dual citizenship. Her mother is Philippino and her father is German.

The ability to play for the Philippines instead of Germany makes her the highest ranked women’s player from the Philippines. At age 13, She started training at a Tennis Academy in Hanover Germany. At age of 15 she started to play ITF Juniors events and reached a career high ranking of 69. At the age of 16; Although still playing some junior events Katharina also started to play ITF women’s pro circuit events.

She had a pretty good start to her professional career. She made it to the Semi Finals two times at the ITF Pro Circuit $10.000 event in Manila Philippines. Her greatest achievement, was a winning the $10.000 Pro Circuit event in Braunschweig Germany in September 2012. Her current professional circuit ranking is 422. which she hopes to improve on this year.
