San Miguel led by as many as 24 points in the third quarter but allowed Ginebra to come back to force overtime. Luckily for the Beermen, import Arizona Reid came through for them in the second overtime as they picked up their fourth win in five games.

Reid finished with 26 points, 16 rebounds and five assists while June Mar Fajardo had a huge double-double of his own with 17 points and 17 rebounds in over 50 minutes of action.

Marcio Lassiter added 17 points, including five three-pointers, Alex Cabagnot contributed 16 and Ronald Tubid came up big, tallying 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Barangay Ginebra (4-2) was led by import Justin Brownlee, who exploded for 38 points, 22 rebounds and five assists in the game. They saw a three-game winning streak snapped in this game.

San Miguel got off to a huge start thanks in large part to their three-point shooting. Reid, Cabagnot, Lassiter and Gary David, who started the game but exited early after suffering an injury in the first quarter, all bombed away from the outside as they took a lead of as high as 16 in the opening period before settling for a 28-14 lead after the opening period.

The Beermen led by 15, 51-36, at the half with Reid leading the way with nine points and Cabagnot and Tubid both chipping in with eight apiece.

They continued that in the third quarter with Lassiter knocking down three consecutive triples to push the lead past the 20-point mark. San Miguel led by as many as 24, 71-47, near the halfway mark of the third.

But that was when Ginebra began to come alive. Brownlee took over and guards LA Tenorio and Sol Mercado contributed with some big treys as they mounted a 19-2 run that brought them to as close as seven points before the end of the quarter.

San Miguel led, 78-68, at the end of the third but Ginebra won the quarter, 32-27.
