2 Corinthians 1:9 | The God of All Comfort

8, We do not want you to be unaware, brothers, about the hardships we encountered in the province of Asia. We were under a burden far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life.

9, Indeed, we felt we were under the sentence of death, in order that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God, who raises the dead.

10, He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and He will deliver us. In Him we have placed our hope that He will yet again deliver us,


Isaiah 12:2 | Joyful Thanksgiving

1, Then you will say on that day, “I will give thanks to You, O LORD; For although You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, And You comfort me.

2, “Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For the LORD GOD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.”

3, Therefore you will joyously draw water From the springs of salvation.

4, And in that day you will say, “Give thanks to the LORD, call on His name. Make known His deeds among the peoples; Make them remember that His name is exalted.”

5, Praise the LORD in song, for He has done excellent things; Let this be known throughout the earth.

Acts 27:25 | The Storm at Sea

21, After the men had gone a long time without food, Paul stood up among them and said, “Men, you should have followed my advice not to sail from Crete. Then you would have averted this disaster and loss.

22, But now I urge you to keep up your courage, because you will not experience any loss of life, but only of the ship. 23Just last night an angel of God, whose I am and whom I serve, stood beside me

24,and said, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul; you must stand before Caesar. And look, God has granted you the lives of all who sail with you.’

25, So take courage, men, for I believe God that it will happen just as He told me.

26, However, we must run aground on some island.

27, On the fourteenth night we were still being driven across the Adriatic Sea. About midnight the sailors sensed they were approaching land.
