Luke 9: 23 | Jesus Predicts His Death

21, Jesus strictly warned them not to tell this to anyone.

22, And he said, “The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.”

23, Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.

24, For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it.

25, What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self?

26, Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.

27,“Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God.”

19, Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

20, and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

15, And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted up to heaven? No, you will go down to Hades!

16, Whoever listens to you listens to Me; whoever rejects you rejects Me; and whoever rejects Me rejects the One who sent Me.”

17, The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in Your name.”

18, So He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.

19, See, I have given you authority to tread on snakes and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will harm you.

20, Nevertheless, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

21, At that time, Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and declared, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was well-pleasing in Your sight.

22, All things have been entrusted to Me by My Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son, and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him.”

John 1:12 | The Witness of John | The Word Became flesh

11, He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.

12, But to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God

13, children born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but born of God.

14, The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

15, John testified concerning Him. He cried out, saying, “This is He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me, because He was before me.’”
