The new season of PBA Philippine Cup Purefoods Star Hotshots vs Brgy Ginebra final scores, results and game match summary review sunday 5:15pm October 25, 2015.
After losing its first game on opening day, Star rebounded and trumped Barangay Ginebra in a wire-to-wire victory, 86-78, in the 2016 Smart Bro PBA Philippine Cup Sunday night at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
James Yap led the charge with 19 points for the Hotshots, who ruined their former coach Tim Cone’s debut as the Kings coach.
“I just feel relief. I’m just happy for the boys. Our first two games were the games in the biggest stage. I’m just happy that we got one of those because they worked hard during the offseason and during the season. You just want them to get rewarded,” said Webb, who won his first game as the head coach for the Hotshots.
