A Call to Holiness
1 Peter 1:21
20, He was known before the foundation of the world, but was revealed in the last times for your sake.
21, Through Him you believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and glorified Him; and so your faith and hope are in God.
22, Since you have purified your souls by obedience to the truth, so that you have a genuine love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from a pure heart.
23, For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.
21, Therefore the LORD heard and was full of wrath; And a fire was kindled against Jacob And anger also mounted against Israel,
22, Because they did not believe in God And did not trust in His salvation.
23, Yet He commanded the clouds above And opened the doors of heaven;
24, He rained down manna upon them to eat And gave them food from heaven.
1 Corinthians 2:5

7, No, we speak of the mysterious and hidden wisdom of God, which He destined for our glory before time began.
11, “Will you trust him because his strength is great And leave your labor to him?
12, “Will you have faith in him that he will return your grain And gather it from your threshing floor?
13, “The ostriches’ wings flap joyously With the pinion and plumage of love
14, For she abandons her eggs to the earth And warms them in the dust,

12, And once more, Isaiah says: “The root of Jesse will appear, One who will arise to rule over the Gentiles; in Him the Gentiles will put their hope.”
13, Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
14, I myself am convinced, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, brimming with knowledge, and able to instruct one another.
15, However, I have written you a bold reminder on some points, because of the grace God gave me.
3, “They bend their tongue like their bow; Lies and not truth prevail in the land; For they proceed from evil to evil, And they do not know Me,” declares the LORD.
4, “Let everyone be on guard against his neighbor, And do not trust any brother; Because every brother deals craftily, And every neighbor goes about as a slanderer.
5, “Everyone deceives his neighbor And does not speak the truth, They have taught their tongue to speak lies; They weary themselves committing iniquity.
6, “Your dwelling is in the midst of deceit; Through deceit they refuse to know Me,” declares the LORD.
