Love Your Neighbor
17, ‘You shall not hate your fellow countryman in your heart; you may surely reprove your neighbor, but shall not incur sin because of him.
18, You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the sons of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself; I am the LORD.
19, ‘You are to keep My statutes. You shall not breed together two kinds of your cattle; you shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor wear a garment upon you of two kinds of material mixed together.
A Warning against Favoritism,
7, Are they not the ones who blaspheme the noble Name by which you have been called?
8, If you really keep the royal law stated in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well.
9, But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as transgressor.
10, Whoever keeps the whole Law but stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it
Warnings against Foolishness
2, If you have been snared with the words of your mouth, Have been caught with the words of your mouth,
3, Do this then, my son, and deliver yourself; Since you have come into the hand of your neighbor, Go, humble yourself, and importune your neighbor.
4, Give no sleep to your eyes, Nor slumber to your eyelids;
5, Deliver yourself like a gazelle from the hunter’s hand And like a bird from the hand of the fowler.
1, Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
2, “When a person sins and acts unfaithfully against the LORD, and deceives his companion in regard to a deposit or a security entrusted to him, or through robbery, or if he has extorted from his companion,
3, or has found what was lost and lied about it and sworn falsely, so that he sins in regard to any one of the things a man may do;
24, “When you enter your neighbor’s vineyard, then you may eat grapes until you are fully satisfied, but you shall not put any in your basket.
25, “When you enter your neighbor’s standing grain, then you may pluck the heads with your hand, but you shall not wield a sickle in your neighbor’s standing grain.
20, ‘You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
21, You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, and you shall not desire your neighbor’s house, his field or his male servant or his female servant, his ox or his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor.’
22, “These words the LORD spoke to all your assembly at the mountain from the midst of the fire, of the cloud and of the thick gloom, with a great voice, and He added no more. He wrote them on two tablets of stone and gave them to me.
The Lord is My Strengt
2, Hear the voice of my supplications when I cry to You for help, When I lift up my hands toward Your holy sanctuary.
3, Do not drag me away with the wicked And with those who work iniquity, Who speak peace with their neighbors, While evil is in their hearts.
4Requite them according to their work and according to the evil of their practices; Requite them according to the deeds of their hands; Repay them their recompense.
